Pottery Play Date Workshop

Instructor:  Lois Harvey  |  Cost: $40 for Parent & Child

Dates: April 14th from 2-3pm

Ages: 3-7 & Parent /Guardian

Parties:  Roxie Remley Center for Fine Art

Join us for a great weekend activity!  This hour- long workshop is a great way for you and your kiddo to make a fun clay project together. Projects are simple for littles and don’t require previous experience with clay. Our instructor will give a demonstration and be there to give assistance. 

Project pickup 2 weeks after workshop, at the Roxie.

Ballroom Dance Workshop

Instructor:  Michael McCurdy  |  Cost: $97 per couple

Dates: Thursdays 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Parties:  Thursdays after lesson 7:30pm-9:00pm

This Spring, bring your dancing shoes and learn the partner dances that will carry you through the winter festivities! Each week we will cover two dances that work with “oldies” as well as today’s latest hits.

Paint -N- Party

Instructor:  Erika Busbee  |  Cost: $40 per session workshop held on the 2nd Friday of each month

Dates: March 8th from 6-8:30 p.m.

Paint-n-Party is held at the Roxie Remley Center for Fine Arts (31 East Vine Street)

No experience necessary! Just come and have fun with friends and your favorite drink! (21+ to drink) Price includes a 16 x 20 canvas and art supplies that you will use to create your very own masterpiece. Don’t wait, sign up today! Short Fiction Writing Workshop

Cost: $75 for individual, $130 for couple

*The first class is from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm.  *All other classes from 6:30pm to 8:00pm

 

Have you ever wanted to learn how to write fiction, or how to craft better fiction? This class focuses on creating and refining focused, vivid, and arresting short stories. Your instructor is a professional ghostwriter, book coach, and editor who earned his Creative Writing degree from Georgia Southern University. You’ll also learn strategies that will help you successfully continue working on your fiction writing even after the class ends.  NOTE: While this class does not focus on genre fiction such as Sci-Fi or Romance, the techniques you’ll learn can be applied to any genre.

Want to try working with clay??  No experience?  No time to take an 8-week session? This hand-building clay class is designed for you!  Each quarter we will feature different hand-built ceramic artworks/projects.  Our fabulous instructor, Georgina Osuna- Diaz will take you step by step through the process of creation.  Any experience level is welcome! Registration required.

Pottery for Beginners! Interested in pottery but feeling shy about signing up for a class?
Come on down to the Roxie studio and just try it! This 2.5-hour session will cover the basics of throwing on the potters’ wheel. All tools and materials provided.
