In performance with acoustic guitar, bodhran (Irish skin drum) and melodic voice, Harry’s songs weave a story of Ireland, past and present. His comfortable easy going style and charm has become his trademark, as has his quick wit and natural ability to draw an audience into his show. The result is a wonderfully enjoyable and memorable experience.
Harry has performed several times with the Savannah Philharmonic and has shared the stage with such International Recording Artists as Mary Black, Cathie Ryan, Joanie Madden, Danny Doyle, the Fureys and Andy M. Stewart. He travels throughout the United States and Ireland performing in a variety of settings, from concerts to festivals, clubs, fundraisers, conventions, singer-songwriter showcases and private events, all of which testify to the universal appeal of his warm and entertaining musical style. He continues to be a popular Guest Entertainer and passenger favorite with Norwegian Cruise Line, having worked with the company since 2001. Out at sea he’s known as Harry O’…The Irish Guy.
At home in Savannah, Georgia, Harry is creator, co-producer and host of the long running Green Island Radio Show on Georgia Public Broadcasting. The show has been on air since 1992. It streams live each week on radio and social media and remains very popular with the listening audience. Harry was voted Best Acoustic Folk Artist in Savannah for four consecutive years and he sits on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Irish Studies at Georgia Southern University. Thus far he has recorded more than sixteen albums, many of which have received stellar reviews by music Journalists.
