Join me this week in making your own masterpieces and learn some fun facts about the most famous artists in the world! Did you know that many of the great artists regularly went to museums and copied from the masters or their "art heroes" who came before them? This is one way they practiced their drawing skills. During this camp, we will look at different moments in art and you will choose your favs to copy, yes copy (or simply use for inspiration). But I'll guarantee that your own style will shine through. You will use acrylic paint, watercolor, collage, and mixed media. Learn how your choice of color, material, mark making and textures create different moods and add meaning to the art piece.

9am-3pm | ages 7-12 | Multi-Purpose Room @ the Averitt | Sam Sheffield

This camp is all about having a blast with color! Color and color theory form the foundation of art as well as design. We will learn about color mixing and have fun working with different media such as acrylic painting, collage, paper folding and more in this magical camp! We will create animals and even create a self-portrait using color theory! Join SHS educator Sam Sheffield in this fabulously fun camp!!
