WEEK 5 | JUNE 28-July 2

Due to CDC guidance for the operation of Summer Camps during the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a limit of 20 persons (campers and instructors) per space.


1-4pm | ages 11-17 | 3-D @ the Roxie | Kimberly Riner | Supply Fee: $15

In this camp experienced clay artists will learn new tips and tricks for designing and building ceramic sculpture. We will work on mind mapping for ideas, creating prototypes and at least one large sculpture. We will investigate surface design and refining the finished artworks. Hand building techniques will primarily be used, but if campers have wheel experience they are welcome to throw. Bring your sketchbook!


9am-3pm | ages 4-7 | Multi-Purpose Room @ the Averitt | Michelle Nesmith

Come and join us for this magical and out of this world camp! We will have Princess and Super Heroes where dreams come true and you can live your dream…..enjoy a week of crowns and capes, we will make crowns, castles and wands……masks, cuffs and much more. Campers are encouraged to dress as a princess or their favorite super hero each day. We may even have a princess or two and a super hero to come and visit.


9am-3pm | ages 10+ | Classroom @ the Averitt | Shaniah Sheffield

In this fun camp, students will be introduced to the basics of hand sewing, while exploring the world of fashion design!! Campers will bring their own sketchbooks to begin creating fashion portfolios, while learning how to sketch with croquis. We will be focusing on basic sewing techniques, and we’ll use these techniques to design fun projects, including aprons, pillows and much more! Join Fashion Design major Shaniah Sheffield in this fashion forward camp!!


9am-3pm | ages 7-12 | 2-D @ the Roxie | Deena Scarborough

Be READY to discover how truly creative you already are! Be SET to find inspiration and exercise your imagination! Be free to CREATE by exploring new and exciting ways of art making! Campers will experiment with a variety of materials while enjoying unique applications of drawing, painting, paper mache, mosaic, collage, sculpture, and more through multiple art making experiences!


9am-4pm | ages 12+ (or SYB Ballet 3 and up | Grande @ West Main | Taylor Ellen & Guests

This camp is designed for dancers with prior experience who are at an intermediate/advanced level of training. Campers will take daily ballet class, as well as strengthening/stretching, modern, choreography, and other styles, as well as learn choreography to perform on the final day. SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate/Advanced (experience required), ATTIRE: Any style/color leotard, pink tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes (if applicable), skirt optional, hair in bun, END OF CAMP SHOW: Friday, July 2nd, 2:30pm.


9am-3pm | ages 5-10 | Black Box Theater @ West Main | Eddie Frazier

Students will work on a theatrical production of the classic children’s book. The week will end with a performance.
