UP - CYCLING ASSEMBLAGE CAMP
9am-3pm | ages 7-10 | 2-D @ the Roxie | Cody Thomas
In this camp we will have adventures of finding trash left around by humans in the environment and turning it into something that is beautiful or useful. We will give trash a second life while also encouraging community awareness. We will be creating these projects from mix media trash and using various art supplies to create something new and exciting. Camp enrollment is limited to 20 campers only.
Campers will have the opportunity to work in many different applications of clay, and expand their imaginations! While working with the clay in hand-building sculpture, slab work, and coil work. Students will learn to work independently and collaboratively in a small-class setting with plenty of individual instruction. Campers are offered plenty of themes such as (Mythical Creatures, Safari, Ocean Exploration, Dinosaurs and much more!). Campers will be working with real stoneware clay and glazes. This will be a full week of fun and learning in clay! Projects will be fired and ready for pickup 2 weeks after camp. Campers will finish the week with an average of 6-10 glazed stoneware pieces. There will be 20 campers only for this camp.
