CELTIC CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
With Bob Sachs, Marci Shore & Michael Murray
December 7, 2019 | 7 p.m.
Carroll Brown and his musician friends are proud to present their CELTIC CHRISTMAS CONCERT, a lively program filled with Spiritual, Secular, and Celtic traditional seasonal songs, complimented by stories of family holiday gatherings and Christmas then and now. The lineup this year will feature The Carroll Brown Band, an acoustic trio and adding the extraordinary talents of keyboard player Michael Murray to round out the sounds of the season.
Carroll Brown is a gifted acoustic guitarist and singer/songwriter from South Carolina. With more than forty years in the music business he possesses a wealth of musical knowledge and a vast repertoire of songs and stories. Carroll performs around the American southeast at festivals and other events and hosts annual tours overseas to Ireland and Scotland. See a more detailed bio and other information at his website. The other group members hail from North and South Carolina and Virginia. They perform regularly at schools and festivals and churches and community theater concerts throughout the American southeast and overseas. Their tight gospel-esque harmonies and instrumental interplay make for a unique and very satisfying musical experience.
Together they bring to the stage a gently paced acoustic show, drawing on their Irish and Celtic roots with an Appalachian influence to offer an eclectic holiday program of traditional, mountain, original, spiritual, folksy songs and spoken word pieces. The onstage atmosphere is casual and conversational as the group banters easily between themselves and the audience.
This is our 16th annual tour and many patrons and churches and community theaters enjoy this musical and culturally rich holiday program every year with return performances and tend to bring along their friends and like-minded supporters of this unique and culturally diverse program of musical artistry and lively fun.
Join The Carroll Brown Band for a delightful evening of acoustic music, story and song.
