SRAA Members Exhibition

Fine Art Exhibition - Mixed Media

About the Exhibition

The Averitt Center for the Arts is pleased to announce this year’s Statesboro Regional Arts Association Member Exhibition.

This event is an annual collaborative art exhibition that celebrates local artists and a wide range of artistic mediums. Every year, the members of the Statesboro Regional Art Association select an artwork for the exhibition to display. Artworks on display are then eligible for judging for several awards, including two cash prizes.

The opening reception for this exhibition will begin at 5:30 pm and welcomes everyone to attend, enjoy the show, and partake in refreshments provided free of charge.

This year’s judge is Angeles Salinas (b. 1972, Mexico City, Mexico; lives in Macon, GA) received her MFA and BFA from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a bachelor’s in graphic design from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She has exhibited at Ruby City, Flight Gallery, Artspace 111, Mexic-Arte, Galeria UNAM San Antonio, Contemporary at Blue Star, San Antonio Museum of Art, San Antonio Artist League Museum, Centro Aztlan, and College of Mainland, among others. She is also the recipient of multiple awards and recognitions for her artistic research; among them, Salinas is a mentee of the New York Foundation for the Arts Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Middle Georgia State University, teaching painting, drawing, and 2D foundations.
