Ananda Balingit-Lefils: Familia

School Tours: March 12 – April 26, 2013

From Florida, Ananda Balingit-Lefils uses gouache and mixed media to create beautiful portraiture and family studies in a post-Columbian style. Her colonial Spanish compositions set her apart from other artists and give her subjects individualized style. Highly detailed patterning drawn from architecture, textiles and illuminated manuscripts embellish the surfaces of the picture plane.
