The Write Place Festival

It started as a dream shared by Statesboro Magazine, Visit Statesboro, the Averitt Center for the Arts, and Georgia Southern’s Department of Writing & Linguistics: to partner and promote Statesboro as the Write Place — a place where writers and authors gather for writing workshops and reading events.


Rocky Horror Picture Show LIVE!

Experience the 7th Annual Rocky Horror Picture Show LIVE ! This wild evening has become a highlight of the Halloween season. Come in your favorite costume and join the fun. First timers are more than welcome. Show is for mature audiences only. No one under 18 years of age is permitted unless accompanied by an adult.


Ghost Tours by Lantern Light
October 28 – 29, 2014  |  7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Join us for more historical and crazy stories of unusual happenings in downtown Statesboro. Don’t be frightened if you see some of our ghosts seeking to reconnect with the living. Get your group together! This fun-filled walking tour will sell out. $8 per person Walking tour will begin at the new Statesboro Convention and Visitors Bureau and end up downtown.
