These rentals are for a one week period.  The rental does not include a $1.00 per rod fee for hanging work.  The rental does include a two hour opening reception.

SPECIAL NOTE

AVAILABILITY Beyond Arts Center use, the theater is rented on a first come, first served basis.
ACCESSIBILITY The Averitt Center for the Arts abides by the Americans with Disabilities Act and makes reasonable accomodations to individuals with disabilities.

The Averitt Center also provides the following at extra cost if not designated in one of the packages: Follow spots in theater one spot with operator $15 per hour, two spots with operator $30 an hour; installation of dance flooring $50; Ushers, Ticket Taker, Ticket Window Attendant, $200; printing of house tickets (general admission) $100 per set, printing of reserved seat tickets $200 per set; house ticket sales ($1 handling fee per ticket sold); lectern $15; data projector and stage screen in theater $50; piano (includes cost of tuning) $75; microphone and stand $25 each; additional hours needed beyond package (only when available) $50 per hour; audience safety information sheet (if program is not available) $12; risers (fee based on number needed); stage hands $13 per hour per helper; security $22 per hour, off-duty-police officer 3-hour minimum (may be required by facility); concessions (negotiated during contract); make-up artist (fee based on production), keyboard $25, acoustic shell $30.00

Non-profit rate available to schools and non-profit 501(c)3 organizations. Commercial rate applies to all other individuals, businesses or groups. All rentals must meet usage guidelines set by the Statesboro Arts Council. Arts-related organizations may request standing reservations for up to six months for meetings or other regular activities.

Artist Spotlight

Roxie Remley

High school music appreciation classes served as my early background in classical music when we listened to Walter Damrosch give commentary during an hour of recorded music on radio in the 1930’s.

Listening to the recorded Symphony No. 3 EROICA last year on the radio, I began to visualize how sounds could lead me into a painting. Beethoven’s EROICA is composed in four movements of contrasting moods and change of keys. This break away from the classical style was occurring in other arts of the 18th century Europe in painting, sculpture, architecture, drama, dance and poetry.
