The Averitt Center for the Arts first opened its doors in September of 2004. Since that time, it has grown to become a major hub of artistic activity in Southeast Georgia.
Each year, the center offers a performance and gallery season. For those seeking the visual arts experience, we offer a new exhibit almost every month of the year in our Main Gallery, Legends Gallery, Youth Gallery and other viewing areas in the venue.
For those seeking a performing arts experience, we’ve created both a professional season of shows, as well as, a season of community theater productions in the Emma Kelly Theater. Whether it’s dance, concerts, drama, comedy, or musicals you seek, you’re sure to find it at the Averitt Center for the Arts.
In addition to shows and exhibits, we invite you to browse through our website to learn about opportunities to rent the facility, apply for a grant, enjoy a virtual tour, attend classes and/or become a member of an active and vibrant arts center.
